****** ass Ali took a stand for his race and was willing to go to prison for it. He has a guaranteed safe job in the Army but he knew they would use him to recruit others. Basically they wanted him to endorse the war which he did not believe in and did not want to contribute what he considered his people to the cause, where they would be killed. Ali gave up his money, his career and his freedom. He ended up not doing prison time but he still sacrificed his freedom because prison was the punishment and he accepted it.
