I find it hard to believe this isnt just a negotiating position.

Wilder isnt getting 50/50. We know it, he knows it, his team know it and Hearn/AJ definitely know it.

Fight will get made around 35/75 or 40/60 kinda range. That would be generous to Wilder, but he does have leverage with his belt and fans do seem to be taking more of an interest in this fight over the Parker one. The more dangerous the opponent is perceived to be the more people are gonna pay for a Joshua fight, whether or not the opponent brings his own fans.

I can see where he is coming from, he sees himself as the champ too and he has held that belt for like 3 years 50-50 is fair enough. It's not just money it's pride. Parker makes like $100k at home he knows what's up, but Deontay should stand firm. Oh yeah the fight won't be happening anytime soon.

What happened to "It's not about the money"?

I think everybody with half a brain was gonna duck the fight. His "fans" fell for it though and went on with this crusade that Joshua was ducking him which wasn't possible due to both having contracted fights. But to say 50/50 is code for "I don't want the fight".

Wilder and his fans took an "L" here.

I think there's something in that and I also think there's a psychological battle to fight before the one that takes place in the ring. If he caves too quickly in negotiation that may on some level help to bolster the sense that he's a distant second fiddle to AJ. So it's natural for him to stand his ground and fight for parity.

It's a double edged sword however. AJ wants his belt and the undisputed title, but he has more options than Wilder and time is on his side. If Wilder insists on an unrealistic share then AJ can leave him to continue making 1.5m a fight, risking his belt every time even with the limited opposition that he's been taking on. Meanwhile AJ leverages his massive UK following and pursues fights that will still make him 10 times what Wilder makes. mandatories, , maybe another domestic guy like Haye etc. Ultimately Fury if he returns could prove to be a bigger money spinner than Wilder, certainly domestically.

In a relatively short time Wilder will be in his mid 30s and AJ approaching his prime and Wilders chances of beating AJ and then reaping the rewards will be diminishing by the month. AJ can wait to take the green belt from Wilder's successor and the chance of a career defining payday will be gone.

Idiot. You are the one on medication. Help yourself. There is nothing wrong with demanding what you'd like to get. It does not mean you get it.

Wilder is still delusional for asking for that kind of split. He's never going to get it and he knows it. So why waste everybody's time with such nonsense.

I do hope you've taken my advice and medded up.

No one is advocating for Wilder to get 50/50 but should he come out and say he will take less? Of course not. Secondly, was Wlad a cash cow when AJ offered him 50/50 despite not having a belt, being out for almost 1.5 years and having lost the last time out woefully? AJ gave him 50/50. So, why should a champion in his prime not demand the same treatment, especially because he is the longest reigning champion of all 3 current, the one with the most prestigious belt and also not coming off a loss?

No one is doubting that AJ makes more money in UK. But shouting that he makes more money in Germany, Nigeria, etc, that's just some crap right here. The core of the money to the made here will be in the US - which is where Wilder comes from. Americans that watch boxing are interested in the unification and to see if their guy can do it. How many people really know AJ in the US?

This is why I have said Wilder should get more of the pie in the US, while AJ gets more of the pie in the UK. Would AJ's delusional promoter (Eddie) and his fans accept that? Of course, they won't. Because they want AJ to get more money everywhere. Why? Pure foolishness.

I think it should be 60/40 or 65/35 US for Wilder (all revenue), 70/30 or 80/20 for AJ (all UK revenue); 55/45 or 60/40 for AJ the rest of the way. That's it. There is no reason under the surface of the sun why AJ should benefit infinitely more from the US under a crappy split.

Also, please stop this hype about AJ having 2 belts. So? Both belts were owned by Tyson last I checked before he let one go due to mandatory and let the other go due to health (mental) issues. So, who has AJ beat? Both AJ and Wilder have not beaten anyone much better than the other when all factors are honestly and holistically assessed. Only delusional folks will think otherwise.

Glad you are recommending to me what you need. That's the typical sign of mental issues. Fix yourself.
