The way I figured is this: If your purse is 1 mil, by the time all is sorted out, you take home about 250k.

            If the shoe fits

But yeah don't pay any attention to these chumps who have never fought anything except bad credit and halitosis.

Right off the top purses get hit for up to 40% in taxes. Managers get a percentage, promoters get percentages, you get charged back for gym fees, sparring partners, sanctioning fees, even the damn title belts have a cost. You name it. There's no way to really determine a number or percentage but you're very lucky to go home with half your purse.

That's why Floyd makes so much money. He not only draws crazy numbers, he managed to cut out most of the middlemen.

No single answer to this. But well under 50% is normal, and 25% is possible.

Firstly the manager gets 25-30%, depending on circumstances, and the trainer will get around 10%. This is going to be different for big PPV fighters obviously where flat fees will be used. But for most fighters you’re already you’re at 60-65%. Then there’s the camp, sparring partners’ fees plus accommodation and other costs (food, equipment etc.).

Then you have the S&C coach, cutman for the fight, and possibly many other assistants and ‘team members’ who perform other small jobs for the fighter. And of course you have the fighter’s own living costs as well, which could include a rented house, car, hotel bills, flights and so on. And then finally you have tax.

Obviously it varies from fighter to fighter and from country to country, but it wouldn’t shock me if most fighters were only banking 30-40% of their purse.
