Then in your eyes Holyfield shouldn’t be in either? How about Wladimir Klitschko with his constant holding?

          Mayweather
          Klitschko
          Ward
          Cotto

          Mayweather
          Klitschko
          Ward

Cotto gets left off. May no question, Klitschko no question, Ward no question

Two undefeated professional boxers, and one of the longest reigning HW champions.

Cotto had a great career, nothing on his resume tops those other three

Hes a good WW, thats it.
Yea that’s true although I think he fought the majority of his fights at JWW. His best weight was probably welterweight. He really wasn’t a true 154-160 pounder.

That's sarcasm. I hate Beefy Smith with all my heart and soul.

You are out or your mind, lol! Mayweather deserves it for all the names in his resume, even if he didnt fight them @ their prime or didnt bring it to them, his style is not the most entertaining, but we all know his boxing skills are a work of art.

klitschko also deserves for the long reigning, but most of the names in his resume are not that big, still to be the top dog @ such a long time and his age is incredible.

Ward, nah! He only got like 2 big names in his resume and when the fights got tough he switched to dirty tactics and I'm no talking only on the kovalev fights, in every fight that things got tough he changed to dirty tactics and that is not HOF worthy, so no, Ward does not deserve to be a HOF.

Cotto deserves his glory and to be a HOF, he simply fought the best @ their prime, 4 weight division champion, each time he lost he rebounded back and kept fighting @ top level, he @ the end of his career picked some soft opposition, but rightfully deserved because he was in wars constantly, the Canelo fight which obviosly was not soft opposition, was a very competitive fight even when Canelo had the size, weight, strenght and youth benefit.

So YES! Cotto DOES deserve equally or more to be a HOFamer than the other 3 mentioned with the exception of Ward who really didnt do much and fought mostly d or c level fighters relying on dirty tactics when the fights got tough.

I think both of those points are debatable - however, Holyfield never did it to the level of Ward. Wlad is fair game - many think without constant clinching he would have been KO'd more often...

Ward - we have clear footage of him cutting and/or excessively clinching and hitting and holding Froch, Kessler and then winning against Kova with a head butt to the balls... Not to mention Ward's excessive clinching and he hits and holds as well.. One of the dirtiest fighters I've seen since Margarito...

Cotto was probably retired before last night.

I would agree with you. How often has a guy who said it was his last fight actually wins? There are not many. Most of the time a fighter loses his last fight. Not many go out on top. Lennox Lewis did...
