Sorry dude, cotto fought much better fighters & took more challenges...
Mosley was a fight that could have gone either way. I said Clearly.

Marquez wins over Pacquiao and Barrera alone is better than Cotto's entire resume.

Barrera was past prime sure but a reigning and defending champion ranked in all pound for pound lists (higher than Cotto ever was in his prime even) and was on good form off the back of excellent wins. That win is better than any Cotto win as Cotto never defeated a reigning champion the caliber of Barrera. Martinez was a good fighter but remember he had a bum knee hadn't fought in over a year and was very lucky to get the W in Argentina over Murray.

Casamayor and Diaz were excellent wins too.

Cotto went life and death with Torress and Clottey though. He was also schooled by Austin Trout and Sadam Ali.

Cotto had an excellent career was such a fun fighter and is a surefire HOFer but no need to **** on a fighter of Marquez' caliber to elevate Cotto. He was very good, Marquez was great.
Dude you failed to mention or even realize that cotto's loses occur when he moved up to Jr.middle division he really was to small for.
      Canelo, Trout.

            Did he beat better opposition?

Common opponents both lost to Mayweather but Marquez' fight wasn't exactly a real one or a fair one due to weight. Pacquaio steamrolled Cotto.

Cotto gave Floyd & Canelo a good fight. And beat Mosley.

Good fight but lost clearly. Mosley is a good win but was the Mosley win really better than Marquez's Barrera win?

When you consider that Barrera is a better fighter than Mosley and carried into the ring better form and was a reigning champion? Barrera won the title with a great win over Morales who was good enough to beat Pacquaio and then scored excellent wins over Peden in a unification bout, future champ Fana and a pair of wins (one close one lopsided) over Juarez and was ranked very high pound for pound. Mosley didn't bring great form like that to the ring.
