1) that was not Pac's retirement fight
2) Pac lost, proving that even top fighters always need to be on their game
3) the excuse pacfans gave is, Pac is past his best..... well, so is Cotto

Bull*****. It was up to him. He is the one that had a hard deadline for his last fight. Can't get the right level of opponent for December try to get that opponent in the first 3 months of 2018.

I don't have a big problem with Ali, but GREAT point there

the now JMW Brook, would be a very good retirement opponent, much better than Ali

that way Brook gets to test the water at 154 following back-to-back losses, against a guy who had faded but is still world-class..... and Cotto gets to make more money in a better fight against a more well-known opponent

I don't think anybody realistically expected Cotto to fight someone like Lara or Charlo anyhow

Cotto would have fought GGG due to the fact he lost tp Canelo but not bad. Je would have troed to capitalized on Canelo's lack of jabs as u saw how Cotto jabbed Canelo up and down. Canelo landed the power shots and Cotto could not hurt Canelo but boxing I think Cotto's jab and combo's could cause issues with GGG. Canelo didnt hurt Cotto and Canelo nor GGG hurt each other. As 155 plus ive not seen Cotto hurt! Cotto would have to weigh in at 158 and fight night 170+ to hold his own.
GGG's preasure would be the killer for Cotto but if he could pull off a margo2 he could possibly win on points. If he got caught up though it would be nights out in my opinion.

Nobody cares for lara after his run from Canelo. And Charlo gets KO'ed by Cotto. Canelo will win rematch rather eaisly with GGG and then chose between jacobs and Charlo. Canelo ko's both Charlo brothers and jacobs. Jacobs may go the distance but will loose a wide decision. Jacobs had speed against GGG and GGG truly lost as did GGG lose to Canelo. You cant miss 80% of your punches and canelo landing at will with clean power shots that backed GGG up every time. Only when Canelo let him land jabs did anything land.
I bet anybody on here if that was Floyd fighting GGG you would have said floyd put on a defensive masterpiece!!-- just because one judge ****ed the cards up and the fact Canelo didn't beat him down like most doesnt mean he didnt clearly win.
I scored it 6-6 live rewatched had it easy 8-4, 7-5 min for canelo. Again you can not mis 80% and call that effective aggression. Thats bs! If somebody got robbed it was canelo but the rematch will make GGG look foolish. I am a equal fan of both but call it how i see it. Also have to give GGG hella props for stamina!!! That boy has no quit.But speed and age are not on his size. He should move up like Hopkons and Jones did as there speed slowed it matched better the weight classes up.
