If that was the case then Roy wouldn't have been robbed at the Olympics...and just look at the robberies the last two years.

I feel like the Salido fight is only used by guys who don't like Lomachenko for whatever reason...I don't think I really need to repeat what took place in the fight and the context.

I don't know how uncle Bob managed that one, I guess he has no pull in Texas and the Mexican lobby there is strong.

But I don't mind that fight, it was a good lesson for Loma. Taught him an invaluable lesson about the pro game.

    ==========

Back to Rigo vs Loma.....what a fight!

I keep seeing Loma missing a lot and eating counters, but I just know that Loma will give Rigo utmost respect.

I think Loma will respect Rigo more than Rigo will respect Loma and that might be the difference. Meaning Loma will not be reckless but simply outwork Rigo even if he misses lots.

How do you even prep for Rigo? Who would one spar to get ready for Rigo?

I think this will go to a close decision with Loma taking it on sheer activity. Rigo will be a lot more accurate but will not do enough.

I could also see Rigo getting robbed....

    May the best man win.
I agree that Rigo could be robbed and also that Loma respect Rigo a lot. As you said what a fight. As a cuban I prefer Rigo but I wont be upset if Loma wins in a fair decision because he is an outstanding boxer too

yeah, Loma also turned pro when he was past his mid twenties with about 400 amateur fights while everyone else turned pro at a much younger age with many less amateur fights. If you compare age, it's not like Loma was that far ahead of any other star. The fact that you consider him to be someone that will go down as the best boxer ever when his record is 9-1 and he's never beaten anyone else near the top 10 of any pound for pound list just shows that you are officially a fan girl groupie type of fan. It'll be interesting to see what you have to say should a much smaller rigo beat him.

Cheers! As a Ukrainian I prefer Loma to win lol, but I share the sentiment, no shame in loosing to Rigo.

If Loma wins I need to avoid wearing my Ukraine shirts next time I'm in Cuba.

Of course no brother. Cubans love the good boxing with technique like a chess. I want a clean fight with a fair decision. If this happens and fairly Loma wins I'll feel admiration and respect for him. My problem is with Arum with have dirty techniques but I recognize Loma is one of the best. Is a shame that one have to loose but that's what happen when the real fights take place.
          Enjoy my friend.

I’ve followed Vasyl since his amateur days, and looked forward to the day he turned professional. Really bothers me that I have to pick a horse in this race.

I'd root for Rigondeaux if it was any other fighter except for Lomachenko because he's ATG talent and I'm a fan of both fighters. But some people who speaks Spanish told me Rigo talks all kind of shit about Lomachenko in his interviews, calling him faggot or something like that

Rigo does talk smack, but I can neither confirm nor deny those specific reports.

I hope this fight lives up to the hype!

I have read most if not all the interviews of Rigo and never hear anything like that. The problem of Rigo is with Arum, not with Lomachenko. Also I heard the Pedro Diaz interviews an he can't praise more to Lomachenko. All the good boxing fans admire Lomachenko for he has does
You must understand the bitter relation between Rigo and Arum that began before Loma came

U must know more than the people who make the pound for pound list. Boxrec, ESPN, Ring. Loma is on it and there is nothing u or Salido can do.

So Rigo is not pound for pound? He is fighting a top pound for pound Dec 9. I never said he was the greatest boxer of all, I said he can be. Learn to read.
