Comments Thread For: Arum: Lomachenko Will Make Rigondeaux Fight, Can't Coast Again

Bob Arum's primary problem with Guillermo Rigondeaux is, despite his vast talent, he has been entirely too content to sit on leads and produce boring boxing that makes television viewers change the channel. The Hall-of-Fame promoter is certain, however, that Rigondeaux won't be afforded the opportunity to do that when the unbeaten Cuban southpaw opposes Vasyl Lomachenko. Arum, Lomachenko's promoter and Rigondeaux's former promoter, expects an aggressive Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs) to force Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs, 1 NC) to fight at a pace that'll lead to an entertaining bout December 9 in The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

LOMA is the greatest Amateur boxer of all time. Now has to become the best pro boxer of all time. Rigo then Mikey.

Cant wait for this - Us non-casual fans are getting very restless. I wish this was happening when Riggo was a few years younger so there are no excuses but as far as i'm concerned Riggo being the phenom that he is, is still a "young" 37...
I'd throw some money on Riggo too if the odds became a bit more skewed for Loma. I just want to see the best brought out of both fighters- I think just that's what all us hardcore fans we want to see - these two freaks of nature maxing-out their abilities.

In an ideal world but we all know deep down Mikey will talk about that fight but do everything to stay away from it. It's what he does.

I don't doubt it, despite its source.

Loma goes hard against slick boxers, he doesn't play games. It's a good strategy.

Love how Arum says Loma's the best since Ali. LOL. How many times has Arum used that one?

              Well, I guess he's a promoter for a reason.

you'll be waiting quote a long time if you're expecting him to come anywhere close to being the best boxer of all time.

Loma isn't on Ali level but he'll beat Rigo. Rigo is eight years older and moving up two weight classes = Loma victory... Hope I'm wrong but I can't see Rigo getting the W

TOO LATE!!!How the hell can you get exposed when you already have a top 5 pfp in his prime scalp on your wall.People like to forget how good Donaire was and how BAD he got beat.Matter a fact after being hurt with a chin shot he got hurt by a shot the his eye that he ALMOST quit over.Yea he scored a good flash KN but outside of that he got whipped. And guys that get "exposed" don't get duckled by a very good group of fighters(Leo,Mares,Frampton ect.
