U mean Cotto walked away from the Alvarez fight with most of the money. RNS didn't make much off of that fight because of the Cotto guarantee

I don't see how they can bounce back. They would have to sign somebody major. Arias will have to rebuild for a while. Hooker sucks. Most are picking Rigondeaux to lose.

RocNation likely didn't make much money off of the fights with Cotto, and that's likely alright in the grand scheme of things; Cotto got the company a seat at the table, and likely did so without RocNation losing out on the deal either (the Geale fight got a full HBO Championship Boxing card budget plus doing good business at the gate, the Alvarez PPV fight allegedly drew 1 million homes, of which Cotto/RNS got the lion's share, and RNS didn't have to eat the L on the kamegai fight).

Andre Ward left earlier than anyone expected, but even then, I doubt how much RNS lost out on that deal too (Brand and Barrera we're both fought on full WCB shows, even though Ward was likely paid extra on the Kovalev PPVs).

RocNation is now a stamp that has clout at the boxing table.

actually they aren't at all. lol. They lost money on the Geale fight with the 50 million guarantee over 3 fights with Cotto. They lost money on all the Ward fights too.

It got them exposure but now they are talking about dropping their boxing division completely. They have Rigo who is banned from HBO and Showtime and little else.

They just had their B side fighter Luis Arias get shut out on HBO and just don't have much other talent. Mo Hooker isn't that great of a fighter and they won't even return Daniel Twitch Franco's calls after he nearly passed away and have abandoned him. They don't even put cards on anymore. They just farm out their middling prospects on other promoters cards.

Roc nation sports doesn’t only do boxing they have Kevin Durant under contract and manage a bunch of sports, they can’t ever take over boxing cause that’s not their soul focus they’re trying to do too much at once.
