Shabramsky Fought Like He Took a Dive....Went Easy On KRUSHER

One thing I noticed is that Shab DID lay into a few shots real hard, but Kovalev did exactly what he should in a situation like that, he punished him for it. Psychologically, it it broke Shab real quick. Made all his fears about Kovalev creep in.Yea he was just not on Kovalev's level and fought timidly because he knew what Kovalev could do.
It probably didn't matter though what he did, because anywhere on the scale from aggressive to passive he is probably getting laid out because Kovalev can touch him whenever he wants with his best punches.
Kovalev needed to get back on the horse though after his ordeal with Ward, he probably should looks for a couple more guys like it before going for anyone, luckily for him even if the other guys are good at 175 anything needs to be built up (unless we get a super fight in Russia which is possible I suppose).
I don't think it could have gone better for Kovalev. It reminded me of Wilder/Stiverne2. Wasn't the fight everyone wanted, but the winner turned it into a showcase for himself and made a brilliant statement.Comment

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. That being said, Kov did what he had to do against this level of opposition. I'm anxious to see how Kovalev will react IF he ever faces another fighter that he can't "bully" and said fighter takes him deep into the trenches like Ward did.One thing I noticed is that Shab DID lay into a few shots real hard, but Kovalev did exactly what he should in a situation like that, he punished him for it. or in other words if he faces another fighter that is allowed to cheat nonstop with illegal tactics while everyone turns a blind eye. hmm not sure. looking at the list of top contenders no one fights in that cheating style so prob not, and no one really has the a-side power that ward had to get away with that kind of style so the coast looks clear for him. and i doubt we see weeks working any more kovalev fights so he shoudlnt be too worried. are there any other low blow ignoring refs out there? we know most ignore clinching unfortunately but low blows were usually illegal until ward showed upI'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Beterbiev has already beat Kovalev and made him cry about the officiating. People obviously don't know about this. Look it up. Beterbiev will not be bullied. He's not even the most dangerous of the current crop at LHW. There's history there. Make it happen. I want to see it.Comment
