I didn't acknowledge anything. I was laughing at this fight way before it was even official. The reality is after two devastating losses and in the last one he pretty much QUIT it's hard to gauge where a boxer is mentally which is why I said it's a light touch. Easy pickings.

Most of these current title holders at LHW beat nobodies to get their belts. They'll have to fight each other to unify and I don't see Kovalev doing shìt against Barrera, Bivol, Gvozdyk and Beterbiev. Like I said already Beterbiev was making Kovalev cry over losses way before anyone and that's the one that will end Kovalev most likely for good.

Kovalev's straight right tends to make boxers take a dive to the canvas. Ask Ward. Kovalev looked great. His jab, his left hook and his straight were all working very well.

The best light heavyweight in the world is a Russian. It's just a matter of which Russian.

Yea he was just not on Kovalev's level and fought timidly because he knew what Kovalev could do.

It probably didn't matter though what he did, because anywhere on the scale from aggressive to passive he is probably getting laid out because Kovalev can touch him whenever he wants with his best punches.

Kovalev needed to get back on the horse though after his ordeal with Ward, he probably should looks for a couple more guys like it before going for anyone, luckily for him even if the other guys are good at 175 anything needs to be built up (unless we get a super fight in Russia which is possible I suppose).

Two devastating losses? Kovalev lost the first fight with Ward by the narrowest of margins and most boxing fans thought he deserved to win that fight but was robbed. That isn't a devastating loss. Kovalev never quit in the last fight with Ward. He doubled over in pain as any man would do after taking two hard uppercuts to the balls. The ref gave the fight to Ward when he should have been giving Kovalev 5 minutes to recover from low blows and warning Ward for the foul. At no time did Kovalev say or indicate he didn't want to fight. I think Kovalev beats all the light heavyweights but Bivol and he beats Ward if Ward comes back.

Didn't look that way to me, just looked way overmatched. How he got a straight shot to a title bout against Kov is a mystery to me, based on his record. I think the only big name fighter he faced was Barrera and he lost to him.

Shab doesn't take a great punch, he has bad defense and Kovalev hits hard. What did you expect to happen?

Nice try doe! Barrera leftover doe! Ward doe! DOE DOE DOE DOE DOE
