Comments Thread For: Menayothin Reaches 49-0, Gets Closer To Mayweather Record

WBC minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin moved closer to matching Floyd Mayweather's unbeaten record when he beat Japan's Tatsuya ***uhara in Nakhon Ratchasima by way of a unanimous decision. ***uhara, who lost to compatriot Ryuya Yamanaka in the first defense of his WBO minimumweight belt in August, fought tenaciously but was unable to break down the 32-year-old Wanheng.

Would be funny though if he reaches 51-0, calls a press conference calls Floyd second best and retires. With Floyd's competitive nature he might just unretire.

Nah, first he'd send in Tankf and once Tank loses he'll come in and fight the guy kind of how did with Broner vs Maidana. I think Floyd fighting Maidana took a lot of the sail out of Broner's sails. Maidana sonned the shh out of Broner and Floyd came in a built on it to fill his pockets.

With his activity level he will probably be TBE by April or May. Good for him.

Way too much is made of 50-0 record. Chavez, Ray Robinson, Pep, and a number of other fighters got beyond 50-0 before losing a fight. Floyd was a great defensive fighter, but we all know he had a few close fortunate decisions going his way, not the least of which was Castillo I.
