Getting fatigued can often be a development from the mental side as well as the physical side.

When your focus is pushed to a high level then you relax at the break or during a round you begin to mentally weaken.
The ultimate frame of mind is to be relaxed while maintaining a game plan and only heightening your intensity
    when your opponent becomes vulnerable.
This is a very difficult discipline to achieve and their are very solid fighters who never get it.
Ali was a good example using this approach, Sugar Ray Robinson was another. The past greats had much more time to develop that discipline because they spent more time in fight rounds as opposed to the current day fighters wasting time in sparring rounds.
When you fight 8 times a year and 50% of the opponents are quality you have to advance your skill level or simply be eliminated. Today the top guys fight once a year and every other year is a weak opponent, they can't advance their skills with that approach.

No he didn't take the last 3 rounds. LOL

GG didn't do close to what he normally does to his opponents. Now he didn't have to, but his fans claim that he was winning these rounds and dominating them. Where? I heard about how GG beat Canelo up in sparring year ago and that he will punish Canelo. None of that **** happened. I scored the fight a draw on the strength of Canelo's inactivity at times. When he wanted to land, Canelo landed, and he landed clean. GG used ineffective pressure and his jab which was his best punch. GG had no left hook and a few right hands.

Nice points and I think J Toney and Duran also fall in that category.Being relaxed is HUGE and HARD.But that's why you see a guy like Andy RUIZ(THE FAT HEAVY)who has better stamina then Joshua(not sayin better fighter so chill all u AJ fans).Toney had it partly because he was sparring ALL the time.Later in his career that's ALL he did as far as training.

In Nelo’s case, when history passes, boxing fans will be in awe of Nelo’s performance in the late rounds.

People said ”How can Nelo last agaisnt Lil’G having gained more mass?”.

So Canelo plays his part doing more explosive shots than GGg and everybody says he gassed...

Nelo just fought the “#1 Middleweight beast” which is a heavier bag than all his opponents, so of course he has to exert more firepower to hurt Golovkin

But Ironically Golovkin does the opposite of what he was sold to be, “I will be monster this fight” yet abandons that strategy and uses some lazy jab and gets praised, never going for broke...

              Hypocrites.
There is nothing mysterious about it. G knew Canelo likes to fight on the ropes so once he forced him there or like you say he went there voluntarily he took power off his punches to limit counterpunching opportunities and out pointed him. I took Canelo till the last few rounds to figure out it wasn't working. Even then he lost rounds.

Canelo clearly wasn't gassed throwing all those power punches. He was fresh as a daisy and could easily have fought another 12 rounds at top speed. Lucky for GGG the fight was only a 12 rounder. Canelo was made for 15 rounders with his outstanding stamina.

He is Lil’G. That’s what Ward coined him. It seems appropriate
