Sergio, Cotto, Geale, Quillin, and Golovkin (almost purely on hype) were the top middleweights; once you got passed that top 5, you were arguing about so-so and bull**** fighters.

The current welterweight division is literally almost 10 deep on top flight talent. Thurman, Spence, Garcia, Porter, Kell Brook, seemingly Crawford, Pacquiao is on his way out, Khan when not getting clipped and you can throw Horn in because of his belt. Underneath that, you have Lamont Peterson, Jesse Vargas, Yordenis Ugas, and other solid fighters to look at.

I don't call guys in top 10(or even top 20)bs fighters.Dont think too many if any on this board are top 50 in their city at what they do mush less the world.Always can tell who and who has not boxed before by the way they speak about fighters.

And also never said fighters I men were top 5 I said top 10 and bottom 3rd of top 10.

It's also interesting that top guys in one division are "bums" and the same caliber of fighters in another division are "world level".

Yup you can tell who has boxed and who has prob never even been in a real street fight by the way they talk about any fighter who is not an ATG.

Ability is still ability. Harsh or not there are tiers to ability, and the fall off in talent between the tiers is pretty clear.
