    Agreed.

Pac and Marquez both rose to the occasion and gave us classic fights that out grandkids will be watching and they'll say, "I wish fighters still fought like that."

Golovkin vs. Canelo was entertaining, but still not the barnburner we were hoping for.

Like you said, Pac and Marquez fought hard to win. GGG and Canelo, especially the latter just fought enough to not lose.

As far as the score, I had 7 rounds for Marquez and 5 for Pac.

But Pac had three knockdowns in the 1st, so I had Pac winning 113-112.

Close fight. Pac really fought like a wild man back then lol.

The draw is justifiable, nothing compared to the draw GGG vs. Canelo got. GGG won at least 8 rounds.

        How do you figure this?

I'm not even sure how this is relevant to what I said.

Golovkin is an Olympian, Medalist, amateur record speaks...never lost, whereas Pacquiao at the time, compare his record and opposition to Lil'Gs.

Nelo only lost to Floyd, Marquez lost to Norwood, look at Nelo's opposition compared to Marquez at the time.

I'm just saying p4p, Nelo vs GGG was of higher skill level than Marquez PAC 1. to put into perspective, none been knocked out but Pac.

and Pacquiao had this one slide on home turf, robbed the Australian.

Well at 2 of them are for sure HOF'ers. Which ones do you think?

I get what you're saying but it still doesn't change my opinion that Canelo and Golovkin fought strategically and ended up in an unnecessary draw. (A draw that shouldn't have been). Marquez and Pacquiao gave one heck of a fight. The draw was a reward for the efforts of both Marquez and Pacquiao. They both fought hard and neither one deserved to lose. The draw between Canelo and Golovkin seemed like a set up for a rematch.
