There is a revisionist narrative that from the start of the 2nd round, Marquez all then sweeped till the end of the fight which is not the case. Pacquiao was still landing hard shots, rocking Marquez even but with Marquez's counter punching he just landed more in the rounds but it was by all means not a schooling that people projected it off, they should watch the fight again.

Neither one justifies the other. Pacquaio/Marquez was an all action fight that was a lot more competitive. Canelo/Golovkin was a tactical mess that had both fighters doing just enough not to lose. Pacquiao/Marquez left it all in the ring. Canelo and Golovkin looked they were fighting to set up a rematch.

Possibly. But given the circumstances at that time vs now, GGg Nelo are more skilled fighters than JMM or PAC combined. Nelo Losing to Floyd is not the same as Losing to Norwood or Nelo’s wins against HOf or PAC getting KO’s twice...
