        3. Lost to Pac
        4. Lost to Margarito(No proof of plaster just assumption)
        5. Got a Robbery win against Shane Mosley(Went to hospital after)
        6. Was getting tortured by Zab who had 4 losses at the time
        7. Went life and death with Torres
        8. Beat an out of prime Sergio Martinez
        9. Almost got ko'd by Chop Chop
        10. Beating a undefeated Pillow punching Malignaggi + Redeeming his first loss to Margarito were his Most significant wins

I JUST DON'T SEE THE GREATNESS SMH WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???

Thats a huge understatement. Sergio wasnt just old and past it, he literally could barely walk, he went into the fight with major knee problems and was ***ing limping around trying to fight near prime cotto. Sergio's team should have postponed the fight but they wanted to cash out.

Also cotto had the same struggles in his margo rematch as the first fight, he got lucky that margo had a broken unhealed eye socket for him to target. I think cotto would have lost the rematch without an eye socket to target.

Two of his biggest wins are against guys with severe injuries before the fight even started. Then hes got the mosley 'win' which was a draw or loss. Whats his real best win, jab judah?

If you're going to do such a thread, please do it correctly for maximum impact.
          1. Got beat by Canelo, who TBE schooled
          2. Took a knee against Margacheato, who Paul Williams schooled
          3. Beat a crippled and greatly damaged Sergio Martinez

Losing to two of the greatest shouldn't count against him.
Canelo is borderline but frankly, Cotto should have beaten him with ease as slow as Canelo is. Every other one you called out resulted in a decisive victory ("no matter how...you...cut it, slice it or weigh it."), and thus should not count against him either.

The only thing that should mark Cotto for life is his facial reaction when asked in the ring if he wanted to fight Golovkin. That should follow to retirement and afterwards.

no doubt he's a good fighter but in fairness to him he perfected the form of... taking a knee.

He was a good fighter, that's all. His status within the game was always greater than his actual ability and wins.

Cotto is a bit overrated by some Puerto Rican fans, but he's still a great fighter. He's not an ATG, but he was one of the best from his era.

He belongs in the Hall of Fame and he's one Puerto Rico's top fighters ever, which is quite the accomplishment considering Puerto Rico's great boxing history.

Miguel Cotto is one of the best of the era.

He was a terrific fighter, fought all comers, gave it his all and had so much skill. His jab and left hook were special.

He is the unfortunate victim of two controversial beatdowns.

Margarito with the plaster in his gloves. Margarito did eat powerful punches from Cotto but he was cheating. That altered Cotto's career. Because of that fight he started getting on his bicycle when he was hurt instead of staying in the pocket more.

The Pac fight is also controversial. Manny rag tagged this guy in a way that no one else ever did. I want to just say that Manny was just in the zone at that time but there will always be that doubt because that is that last person that Manny stopped and it was ironically the last fight he fought without the stigma of steroidal use prefight.

We can't build up Pac and Margarito and omit their wins against Cotto. We can't declare that Floyd was afraid to fight he top welters so he retired and at the same time besmirch Miguel. Doesn't work that way.

Cotto beat alot of good fighters.

                  Definite Hall of Famer

I agree he's overrated but it's a joke if you think he's only borderline for HOF.

Damn... If only Canelo would have KO'd Cotto or at least beat GGG, we'd be spared these bitter threads.

"How can I feel better about my flag...I know, I will pretend Cotto is overrated even though at age 35, out-weighed by 15 lbs and out of prime, he STILL gave Canelo a gift/draw.... I will post a dumb thread on the forum today..." ~ Desperate peasant # 4848403
