The old Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins...enough about them

All I hear when it comes to the Legend Killer is how the old Roy Jones Jr. would have mopped the floor with him. The old Roy would have done a number on Tarver. Yeah right. Roy himself admitted that Tarver is the type of guy that would beat him at any point in his career.

Now Tarver hasn't even beat Hopkins yet and all I hear is PRE FIGHT EXCUSES about how the old Hopkins of a few years ago would have beat Tarver easily.

Please cut the **** already because it means absolutely nothing. I look at the record books and see Tarver beat Roy twice. It doesn't say anything about how "the old Roy would have won". It says Tarver wins. Give the man his props or keep your ***** ass mouths shut.

What type of responses are you looking to get with all trash talking stuff in your opening post? Do you like debating in the worse way possible?
You got a point in your post, but I don't see why you're so angry.

I don't know about what Fuego said (about the entire career stuff), but Roy did admit Tarver had the style to beat him.

Word. I remember reading one of the times the two had fought and it went to an UD to Tarver, Roy had stated he worried more about staying on his feet than anything else.

Either way Roys the better fighter, and Tarvers gonna beat Hopkins because hes finished. Taylor has more of a chance to beat Tarver than Hopkins has.

Roy Jones said that tarver had the type of style to give him difficulty at any time in his career. He never said tarver would or could beat him at any time in his career...that just not roy.

Can you find a new theme to cry about?

A weight drained Jones clearly outpointed Tarver a less than 24 hours after spending 6 straight hours in the Sauna.

And I'm still hoping beyond hope Hopkins steals the fight this weekend so I can listen to him cry about the weight drained him.

Tarver cried when he lost the Jones fight, and cried when he lost the Johnson fight. He also punked out of the Johnson rubber match when Glenn didn't have to ever give him a rematch.

You have a really weak and twisted take on this whole situation.

I'm just tired of Tarver being unable to win with any of you bogus posters. No matter what he does or who he beats, there's always something wrong with him. Well, he beat the **** out of Roy Jones, and that was terrific for me. Not so much for all of your Roy ass kissers. If he beats Hopkins, none of you will respect him STILL, yet you're all going to watch the fight. It's just ridiculous how some of you think you can get away with it. Well, if Tarver kills another legend on Saturday, just know that you don't have to respect him, but history will.
