It's about longevity bro. Dont get me wrong beating wilder and Parker would be a HUGE achievement but let's say if you retired immediately after beating those two guys, that won't be enough to cement your legacy among the ATG's. Ali and Tyson reigned for years (Ali more so than Tyson). AJ let's see how long you hold on to those belts you have first. But you're off to a good start for sure.

Anyone can play the devil's advocate on any fighter's resume. Tyson and Ali are a given in the top 10 heavyweights of all time. Not even remotely debatable.

He beat an old Wladimir Klitschko, got dropped in the process. His resume is weak, and beating Joseph Parker and wilder does not make you an all time great. To say a guy who’s been pro for 4 years and has 1 name on his resume is 2 wins away from being an all time great comparable to Ali and Lewis is laughable and shows the problem with forums.

Wlad was basically Josh's first proper win. Tytson reigned for 4 years or so beating everything out of sight.
So josh needs to seem unbeatable for next 4 years to be comparable to tyson

This is false . Mike Tyson is known as an ATG for being youngest HW champion in history and his 80's dominance which basically started in 86 with Tillis win to 88 win over Spinks .

Joshua has already unified belts after being champion in 2016 and has a win over Wlad Klitchko in 19 fights . Mike Tyson fought Steve Zouski in his 19 th fight and was 28 fights in before achieving a belt .


Not only is Joshua ahead of Tyson ( sorry but this is reality ) right now he has by far more quality wins overall with SAME number of opponents at 20 not even including Klitchko who would be prime Tysons BEST win too .


People get worked up with threads like this bc they haven't been watching boxing long or have short attention spans and cant look up what each resume ACTUALLY looks like to determine where Joshua is coming from. lol
