We need a multi-tier system based on variation rather than bodyweight. There should be a 2 day, 24 hour then fight night weigh in and each division has a maximum amount a fighter can go up and down over that period without being DQ'd for endangering their own health.

it is fine how it is

in every division, there are smaller guys, and there are bigger guys

fighters just have to man up, and stop making excuses

everyone knew how big Jacobs was before he fought Golovkin/Arias

especially Golovkin, who is a fully-fledged middleweight as we saw in the Canelo fight..... Golovkin is not small, he is an average-sized middleweight

Martinez, Cotto, Canelo are small..... Jacobs is big

the guys who ragged on little 153lb Cotto are dog-**** boxing fans..... especially if they gave Mr "154-168" a free pass

    #excuses

how the fk was Golovkin going to live with Andre Ward if a couple of pounds of water-weight on Danny Jacobs made any kind of difference at all???

in saying that, I don't have a big problem with a rehydration clause..... just so long as it is reasonable, and just so long as it accounts for ALL body-types..... including the big guys

Boxing is becoming more and more a science about being able to maniuplate your weight as good as possible, to rehydrate as much as possible, just being 1-2 weightclasses above your opponent and voila, you win as long the other guy is not vastly superiors. Imagine if Jacobs had the same weight as GGG when they fought, would have been stopped in a couple rounds.

Anyway you cant blame Jacobs for abusing the rules, they need to look into them and make a change rather sooner than later, people will get more and more creative with reducing weight for a few mins for the weighin and ballooning up within 36 hours.

Hey boy. You should be interested in this as well. larryxxx has convinced Lou Cipher to meet him in a Boxing match at Tocco's gym in Las Vegas on December 1 less than 3 weeks from now. Now you can see what Lou Cipher is all about...or will you now suddenly lose interest?

If you fight at 160 and you look both soft and frail on the scales, then you only go up to 170 you should probably be fighting in a weight class lower than your current one. Arias looked like he had man ******* at the weigh in.

              speaking of dog-shht boxing fans

you looked the other way for FIVE YEARS when manny-weight was in full-swing..... so, hoppit

there is only one thing worse than when fighters use weight to manipulate, that is when fans do it

No, elaborate. Golovkin and Canelo fans don't seem to lile that there's a guy who is proven to be on the same level as their favorite fighter.
