I guess not being put to sleep by GGG convinced him he's the best? He lost that fight everyone knows it except the common GGG haters they are the type that live in constant denial much like Jacobs is about the fight. He didnt do bad and made it close but GGG won. Time to move on Miracle Man.Comment

Agreed, since when did surviving a fight, lands you the number 1 spot? GGG won that fight by three round clearly.
But in my book Jacobs is the second best middle weight in the world.Comment

I felt Jacobs did enough to win that fight against ggg but that knock down took away any chance he had of winning the fight regardless of what happened after that. In the eyes of the judges it has to be a clear victory over the champion. He really should have went for the KO imo and been a little more aggressive. I think he would do even better in a rematch but I don't think GGG team will give it to him. When GGG retires he can unify with Canelo down the road or whoever gets the belts at that point. He'll look back on the GGG fight as a missed opportunity!!Comment

Whatever you think about his standing, he does have an argument. GGG was the consensus top guy. Jacobs got off the deck and fought to a very close decision. And there are quite a few out there who believe he could have had the nod. What is the problem with him believing he's the best MW? Is it that much of a stretch? I just don't get why Jacobs believing this seems to upset some people.Comment

Nothing wrong with him thinking he is the best, but he just isn't. He lost a UD to Golovkin and got dropped in the process. He went the distance and took about 5 rounds. Good performance but he lost.Whatever you think about his standing, he does have an argument. GGG was the consensus top guy. Jacobs got off the deck and fought to a very close decision. And there are quite a few out there who believe he could have had the nod. What is the problem with him believing he's the best MW? Is it that much of a stretch? There's a case for him being 2nd best, but it was proven he isn't quite the best. However, he's not far behind a 35 year old GGG and that's still pretty good.
Unless his profile raises a fair bit or he gets a mandatory shot, i can see him becoming quite avoided though. He doesn't really bring a lot to the table financially or a belt. All he brings is a potential very hard fight. Nobody top fighter will be jumping at the chance to face him now.Last edited by TheBigLug; 11-11-2017, 01:44 PM.Comment

Another thing people never bring up is that Danny was paper champion. Evey title he so called won was a vacant title. EVERY title. WBO. NABF the WBA trinket title. Every title!! This guy never beat a champion and he claims he is the best. I wish Arias or promoters called him out on his BS .
Lets go Cuba.Last edited by Bango Bang; 11-11-2017, 01:46 PM.Comment
