Another thing people never bring up is that Danny was paper champion. Evey title he so called won was a vacant title. EVERY title. WBO. NABF the WBA trinket title. Every title!! This guy never beat a champion and he claims he is the best. I wish Arias or promoters called him out on his BS .

      Lets go Cuba.

This^^^^. That’s all it was really. He held up and went the distance. Jacobs may be 2nd or 3rd in the Division and that in itself is impressive.

There's a case for him being 2nd best, but it was proven he isn't quite the best. However, he's not far behind a 35 year old GGG and that's still pretty good.

Unless his profile raises a fair bit or he gets a mandatory shot, i can see him becoming quite avoided though. He doesn't really bring a lot to the table financially or a belt. All he brings is a potential very hard fight. Nobody top fighter will be jumping at the chance to face him now.
I can't disagree with anything you said. And I'm not sure either what's in store for Jacobs after tonight, assuming he wins. It won't be Canelo or GGG for sure. I guess I'm hoping for the winner of Lemieux-Saunders, which is unlikely, or maybe Charlo if he can't get that. But say he beats Charlo and looks impressive. That's not a high profile win outside of hardcore boxing fans and wouldn't put him in demand. If anything, it would make other champions less likely to fight him.

Jacobs will kill frail arias, why take such a weak opponent if you think your top dog?

There is not much more than a cigarette paper between Jacobs, GGG and Canelo.

I know you want to hide behind Charlo so Jacobs don't get that rematch but Charlo has no obligations to Showtime. Doesn't Golovkin have a mandatory due?
