People said that Jacobs did very well against Golovkin , because Jacobs was way bigger & had all the physical advantages over Golovkin.
Golovkin had all those advantages over CANELO, & CANELO still beat GGG.
Keep in mind that was CANELO's debut in the weight class, that's what Top P4P fighter's do.
fair point there ^^
the fact that Canelo was the smaller underdog cannot be ignored..... but he needed to be a little more active, in which case the fight may have played out differently
they need a rematch, and so does Golovkin/Jacobs..... because Danny has a damn good case for winning that fight
also, we don't know how Canelo/Jacobs would mesh..... I suspect that Jacobs would have more/different problems with Canelo, and find him much harder to outbox..... also, I suspect that Golovkin stood up to Canelo's punches a lot better than Jacobs would..... Golovkin did not land many clean shots on Jacobs at all, but Canelo will
#styles
but we will have to wait and see..... how those styles would mesh is hard to pick, and sometimes it just takes 1/2 little things that work better against a particular opponent, or do not seem to work as well, etc
too many unanswered questions at middleweight.....
until those questions are answered definitively, I do not feel compelled to rank anyone #1/#2/whatever
some divisions are clear, some are not..... and it is the fighters job to sort out the pecking order, not mine..... if they have not done that, that is on them
I have.....
1) Golovkin/Jacobs/Canelo - those fights were close as hell, there is little separating those guys
4) Saunders - the guys above went 12 rounds with each other, BJS is not there yet..... but he is a factor
5) the rest, with Charlo leading the bunch..... who will likely be right in that mix adding to the unanswered questions at 160
if forced to pick, then you would have to give Golovkin the nod at middleweight..... but he will not be "the man" until those questions are answered
