But the fights I mentioned would have had more narrow odds. As I said before I still think he would win...

Floyd VS Canelo was a joke fight for example. NO ONE thought Canelo was ready
i still feel in my heart that had may fought/beaten those prime guys, others would find a reason to not give him credit.

proof ?!?!? his resume is compared to rockys and people say rockys is better.

I'm not a psych. The thread is about what a vast # of posters claimed and how they attempted to discredit Mayweather. Some still do.

Prime Mosley, Cotto, Manny I believe would have been much closer fights even tho I think Floyd would win
That’s a sign of his greatness though, he was so good that he was always the favourite. However nobody expected him to walk through guys like Hernandez, Corrales and others. People forget that a lot of these guys were considered very tough opponents beforehand. I remember plenty of people picking DLH, Hatton, Mosley, Cotto and Pacquiao to beat him and he made easy work of all of them. Plus the thing is he tried to fight all these guys when he was on the come up. Called out Mosley in 99 and 06 and Shane didn’t want it. Cotto “wasn’t ready” in 05 and 06 when they were both with Top Rank and The Bobfather didn’t even consider making the Pacquiao fight until he got KOd by Marquez and he had no more Top Rank guys for him to fight. People seem to think these fights would’ve been harder because those guys would’ve been younger but Floyd would’ve been younger too so I don’t see it that way.

Exactly people just find excuses to try to discredit him. It’s impossible to fight everyone and if he fought the guys people mention these same people would be saying he should’ve fought the guys he did. You know the man basically cleaned out boxing when the guy who gets mentioned the most is Bumgarito. Who by the way had 2 chances to fight Floyd and blew them both. First by nearly getting beaten to death by Mosley then losing every single round in the Cotto rematch. Floyd beat 25 world champions that’s more than anyone in boxing history and yet people still complain. Just appreciate the greatness he showed because we won’t see anyone that great again for a very long time.

People just don’t want to give him props because they’re jealous/racist but there’s no doubt he’s one of the GOATS. Skill wise I put him #1 if we’re talking “legacy” that’s a totally different debate but when it comes to pure skills there’s nobody in boxing history who was better.

You say this but you just made a thread about Larry hating Manny because he made a thread asking if he beats Spence, Thurman etc. Of course people have critics it’s just funny how so many of you still can’t accept Mayweather’s greatness. Even after he dominated all of the top fighters across 19 years. Some of you are so extreme with it I get the impression you will never get over the fact that he schooled all your favourite fighters.

Lol no one picked those fighters to beat Floyd except edgy NSB posters & fanboys. The odds proved this...

Undefeated Cotto, prime Pac, prime Mosley would have had narrower odds that was my point. Dont care who ducked who
