It would really take alot for someone to drop him to teach him the lesson you speak of and I dont think there is any flyweight in the world right now that can do that.
I thoroughly agree that it would take much to teach Darchinyan the lesson. Had he a weak chin, and given his utter lack of defense, he would not have progressed much beyond his first five fights, much less, wrest a world championship.

But for Darchinyan to keep competitive for a long period of time, he has to learn defense, otherwise, the strength of that chin could be diminished by attrition, not to speak of the incrementally (even, possibly exponentially) increasing dire effects on the brain that being hit too frequently can bring.

It would certainly be bad if his first visit to the canvass comes not via the strongest punch he ever received but a result of the accumulated damage wrought by a cavalier attitude towards defense.

That so called "power style" is not gana take him very far once he steps in the ring with a real fighter.
Right now, VIC has the confidence of a damn Raging Bull man, the name is so right for him.

He has confidence in not just winning, but going in to Knock his opponent out. Believe me, not many fighters enter the ring with this mentality. It may not be the best way, but it damn sure makes for some exciting fights.

like i said before, Arce may be calling the shots now, BUT, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO BIGGER FIGHT ARCE CAN TAKE RIGHT NOW THAN VIC. So many people want this fight to happen that it is just unbelievable and many say it could very well be FOTY.

There is ONLY one way to find out once and for all who really IS the Lord of the Flys.
Gary Shaw and Arce's Promoters... PLEASE MAKE THIS FIGHT HAPPEN.

some feel that a fight versus proven veteran champion martin castillo would be a bigger fight, but i'd rather see him fight Vic.

Arce has the same mentality as Vic though, how can u say he doesn't when he was telling Rosendo Alvarez that his girlfriend hit harder than him. No one talks like that when they THINK they cant knock someone else.

Oh ya, I know Arce thinks KO when he steps in the Ring, I was at the fight when he took Rosendo down.

What HendrixLove was saying was that EVERY fighter goes in the ring with this mentality, and obviously this isnt true.

There are very few figthers out there right now that step in the ring with intent to EAT UP THEIR OPPONENT ALIVE like Arce and Darchinyan do.

Thats why their fight would be amazing.
It should be called "Fireworks" on top of the poster.

If not their very next fight, maybe 1 more tune-up for each, another test, before they do meet each other once and for all.
Arce could fight Castillo like he has shown interest to do. And Vic might fight Narvaez for the WBO. Given they both win, Vic and Arce alone would then fill up the Staples Center as a main event.

If Arce won't step up the plate let him fight the other title holders first just to keep him busy.

There's no bigger fight for Vic other than Arce at this point.

Anyone saying Arce has fought better opposition recently than Vic, step up to the plate and prove it. Lets see, his last couple opponents were:

              1. Rosendo Alvarez - 36 Years old, fighting bums before Arce
              2. Adonis Rivas (fought him twice) - Record says it all
              3. Hussein Hussein - from Vics gym, everyone in their gym knows Vic is better
              4. Angel Antonio Priolo - Lost to Villoria before fighting Arce, fighting bums before Villoria
              5. Juan Centeno - BUM FIGHTER, record says it all

THESE ARE ALL ****ING D CLASS FIGHTERS. Vics B class opposition tops these guys. Lets have someone step up and tell me who the **** Arce has beaten. He picks and chooses his opponents to Knock them out and make a good image of himself. Un]ike Vic who wants to fight the best and is going into the ring with the best opposition he can find.

ARCE IS FIGHTING D CLASS FIGHTER IF U DONT AGREE WITH THAT LETS HEAR AN INTELLIGENT ARGUMENT. ANd please dont just talk from ur asses. Im waiting to hear one.

                  very true.

Unification of World Titles is the beauty of boxing and it's about damn time the Flyweights unify some belts.

                  Darchinyan is pronounced (DAR-CHEEN-YAN)

Ok let me tell you something, I do not hate Vic, I'm just not impressed with him after watching his last two fights, but I do agree, Vic vs. Acre needs to happen now, I also belive it has the makings of fight of the year since both fighters are tough and won't back down.
