Comments Thread For: Ken Porter: Shawn Won't Fight Again Until Rematch With Thurman

NEW YORK Shawn Porter doesn't expect to fight again until he can secure a rematch with Keith Thurman. The former IBF welterweight champion and his father/trainer, Ken Porter, don't think there's any reason Porter should box anyone other than Thurman next. Porter has already won back-to-back WBC welterweight championship elimination matches and his 2018 schedule could align perfectly with Thurman's because Porter probably suffered a fracture to his left hand during his unanimous-decision victory over Adrian Granados on Saturday night.

Keith Thurman wasn't even going to fight 'Showtime' without a tune-up anyways. Get well champ.

It's cool anyway I'd rather see Thurman vs Spence anyway. Let Shawn go and head butt a new opponent. Maybe he'll get Danny Garcia or rematch Kell Brook!

thurman is a long way off from fighting either spence or the horn/crawford winner.

So Porter is a long way off.

Showtime gave him his toughest fight, you guys think Thurman would rather pass on big-money fights with Spence or Horn and risk losing to Porter? then as you mentioned T-Raw is coming fo dat ass, so yeah Runtime better hurry up and get his money ASAP.
