For one thing, if he were to bring BOTH belts to the table, surely, when it comes to the big match up with AJ, having two belts will improve his share of the purse?
I mean, leaving Parker out of things, for the moment, if the next big match is between AJ and Wilder, then, at some point, the winner is going to have to go after Parker, or whoever holds the WBO belt at the time, in order to accomplish "undisputed" status.
And it doesn't end there. As of now, the lineal title is still held by Tyson Fury. With his mooted return on the cards, the only way to complete the set is by beating Fury who, like the other three, has never been defeated in the ring, to date. That's why the next 12-18 months are shaping up to be the best time Heavyweight boxing has seen, for well over a decade...and that is the case even though the rest of the division may not be up to the same standard as the top four or five guys in it.
