Judging by Stiverne's demeanor before and during the fight and also the shape he was in at the weigh in, he didn't look particularly ready to go to war for 12 rounds.
Wilder has improved a bit since their first fight and Stiverne wasn't active and either didn't bother to train or didn't have enough time to prepare. Wilder did what he had to do so cong**** to him and hopefully he gets the unification fight with Joshua as soon as possible. As far as Stiverne I respect all fighters except for the ones who take dives or come to fights out of shape, so I know I won't tune in to any of his fights anytime soon.Comment

Why are you concerned about Wilder’s finances?
Why should he take the fight if Hearn won’t put it in the contract that Wilder fights AJ next if he wins? What’s the point of him fighting a guy whose best wins are over journeyman Chisora (who lost AGAIN this weekend) by disputed decision and another decision over a guy Duhaupas knocked out?
Any true boxing fan would rather see Wilder vs. AJ than Wilder vs. Whyte. Why let Hearn play a shell game to avoid having AJ fight a unification with Wilder?
And since Hearn has talked about AJ vs. Parker, does he have to fight Whyte to get a shot? Does everyone?Comment

Lets not be hypocritical about finances. When it comes time to negotiate the fight, that will be the deal-breaker right there. Wilder will insist he is worth 50% of the take, when he clearly is not.Why are you concerned about Wilder’s finances?

So you think that Wilder fighting guys like Washington for $900K and Stiverne for $1.4M isn't relevant to the discussion when AJ is earning $20M per fight?
I see a lot of Wilder/Floyd fans who were perfectly fine with their boy Floyd "marinating" a fight for 5 years and making ridiculous demands along the way, but now the are suddenly in a big hurry to make excuses for Wilder.
If AJ fights Parker he'll earn another $20M in front of 90K fans. Meanwhile, Wilder will be fighting Breazeale next for another $1.4M payday and will be lucky to put another 11K asses in seats.Comment

Boxing isn't off the map. It certainly doesn't depend upon Wilder fighting AJ. I want the fight like any other fan, but I'm telling you, Wilder is delusional if he thinks this is a 50/50 fight that takes place in the U.S.Comment

This is the biggest b1tch reply in this whole topic. Wilder has only ever fought nobodies. His whole damn career! So whats the problem in fighting another one of them to superfans like you. His resume would look pristine. 40 fights, 40 nobodies, 40 wins.Comment

Boxing is growing smaller each decade that not opinion that's fact. And a huge heavyweight fight for REAL title will bring a lot of casuals.Which is what boxing needs plus casuals will go nuts for a fight between two guys with com record of 59-0 58kos.Plus it will be a great fight(for how ever long it lasts)with a sure KO.And prob a GREAT ONE(unless we get reff from last Joshua fight) But Wilder and his people know they are not getting 50-50 and I have not even heard them say it.But if they did its just buis bs tring to get 35-40Comment
