We'll see what happens when negotiations start. I just have a feeling Wilder will price himself out or insist on the fight being in Vegas. That's my opinion on the matter, so I'm not claiming to have any inside knowledge here.

In keeping with the topic of this thread...Stiverne came to lose. That is obvious. He didn't even try. He didn't show up for their first fight either, just plodded through in survival mode. Not even sure how WBC made this loser a mandatory in the first place.

No worries though, in 2018 Wilder will take on Joshua's leftovers and het his 40th victory versus Breazeale.
And also not very good undercard to get casuals.I mean none even porter have any real followers and NONE were NY fighters. And 11000 is pretty good in USA esp when it is not in your home base.

I'm glad he wasn't seriously hurt, but I'd have been gutted if I'd paid money to watch that fight. A decent couple of fights on the undercard, but Stimane was a big disappointment...

Except Wilder has twice as many fights as Joshua. If anyone sounds like a foaming at the mouth fanboy here it is you.

Stiverne came to win. He even had a game plan to deal with Wilders movement and boxing. Once he got hit the game plan went out the window, as did his senses.

I don't he expected Wilder to come at him and he had no plan "B".

TBH, Stiverne never was much. His biggest wins were against fellow fat slob Arreola. He was a last minute fill-in, so expectations shouldn't have been high to begin with. Wilder did what he was supposed to do. Now it's time for the big fight, though I'm sure they'll let it "marinate". Thanks Oscar, for that wonderful term. You're the best!

Wilder's jab and the one-two that dropped Stiverne the first time were anything but telegraphed. His trademark windmill attack is technically awful but his straight work is pretty nice
