It's not like there's a lot of candidates for #1 spot in the division. Kovalev who was ruined and nobody needs his ass now? Stevenson? The division is a bunch of contenders at this moment, so what if that boy thinks Bivol passing the eye test better than other prospects?

HBO has been pushing the same type fighters for a few years now. They're always going to overrate them as long as they keep winning. Like you said, he looked good but how much can you tell from 3 minutes of boxing against a guy that seemed overmatched from the beginning.

Bivol must test himself with a top 10 opponent, he's not learning with these quick knockouts.

I really like how patient and relaxed Bivol is in there.
It is time to face someone better. Sullivan Barrera would be a great test for him.

Barrera also fighting a Bivol leftover in Valera so it will hype the Bivol-Barrera fight some more

To be honest Max said that he felt he was a Top 175lbers but that he hadn't proved it yet.

If HBO are gonna fly the whole crew to Monte Carlo for Bivol at this point of his career against this unknown guy, best believe that the hype train has started!

Kovalev is still one of the fighters to beat at 175 to show that you're the best especially if he picks up the WBO Title. You also get Beterbiev who like Bivol still have something to prove. Steven still holds the WBC strap so he is still a fighter to be to show you're the best at 175

Fighters don't get reward the best by just Popularity or because that is who some fans want to be considered #1 have to go out PROVE IT still and Bivol haven't proved ANYTHING even tho I like others like his Potential A LOT!
