Wilder isn’t always in top condition. This is the lightest he’s been since the first Stiverne fight. And he was around 230 for the three fights after Stiverne. I’m from Nashville. So I’ve been attending his fights and following him for awhile. And since he filled out. I’ve noticed he’s been at his best when he’s in the low 220s. And anything north of 225 is too heavy for him. Of course, he weighed in in the low 220s for the Washington fight and didn’t look all that great. So who knows. Him being this low for Stiverne shows me he took this fight seriously. Or maybe it’s just a case where he came into camp in decent shape because he thought he was fighting Ortiz. But who knows. I’d like to see a good performance outta him. It’s been awhile.i like wilder because he's a in shape all year round kinda fighter. 3 years ago he was at 219. 220 today showing that he takes his training very very seriously. joshua was 10 pounds heavier then when he fought wlad. stiverne 15 pounds bigger then when he 1st fought wilder. heavyweights like joshua stiverne don't understand how being 220 235 is a benefit. all they see is food food food. weight lifting. getting big. I am bigger. heavyweight boxing has never worked that way. u are at a serious stamina disadvantage when u add on so much bulk & weight. someone like joshua should really be 235 to 240 max.Comment

It's all genetics, he's been as heavy as 229 against Duhapaus, Molina and Szpilka. He was barely 200lbs when he made his debut as well so he's put on a good amount of weight.Just said same thing, 6’7 and 220 is a weak frame. Dude has a huge upper body, but NO legs. Not sure why he wouldn’t hire a strength and conditioning coach that would turn them into tree trunks and probably take him from 220 to like 230. Imagine he had Joshua’s legs?? Dude would be terrifying.
If anything the added weight makes him slower on his feet, takes away from his conditioning too.
Wilder has severely underrated stamina and reflexes which is what Joshua lacks due to his size.
Against Stiverne Wilder threw 621 punches and had plenty of gas left in the tank. He started off the 1st 5 rounds throwing 56, 60, 59, 44, and peaking in round 5 with 70.
Keep in mind this was WITH a broken hand.
Against Wlad Joshua threw 355 punches total, Klitschko just 256. AJ gasses when he's about 5 rounds in, after that his punches start losing steam and gets tagged more.
AJ threw 40, 42, 38, 31, 53, after that he was laboring around the ring. Compare that to Wilder's 56, 60, 59, 44, 70.Comment
