If that's really the aim for 2018, he fights Nate Diaz in the trilogy (with or without the belt, at 155lbs), boxes Paulie Malignaggi (the promotional stuff will square away, but you're basically looking at a 85/15 McGregor split on that fight), and then closing out the year with against the Khabib/Ferguson winner.

Depending on how things go, you're likely talking about $100m-$120m for those three fights.

first of all, a rematch with nate, he'll make about $10mil. same for khabib/ferguson/paulie. these guys are not known or is a draw. it might be good matches against guys like nate and ferguson but like i said, these guys doesnt bring in the money.

if conor is thinking about surpassing floyd, conor need to start fighting guys like canelo, ggg, pac, etc. if he pick 3 top names in boxing right now and go for broke against these guys then he'll make close to $100-120mil for these 3 fights.

I doubt he would be able to do that in the UFC, the marketing, promotion and rankings maintained by one person, Conor would need not only to branch out to achieve that aim but also have majority of the fighters to be on board with him. I have seen a similar adventure shutdown by the UFC people from former fighters, so i doubt Connor would be any different. I hope he pulls it off though.

$65 per PPV. Assuming the proceeds from from the live event and other revenues (sponsors, International tv, etc) gets to $15m and 1m PPV homes gets you to another $30m for the fighters.

Conor-Diaz 2 did over 1.6m homes on PPV for ****s sake.

With an audience already interest in seeing him fight, and arguably the biggest boxing audience ever seeing him perform well, there's a market for Conor McGregor fights, almost regardless of who he fights.
