The reason I brought up Holyfield, Lewis, Fury is because even casuals knew who they were. Outside of boxing, no one knows Deontay Wilder. Like I said, go ask around, a majority of people questioned probably think he is a basketball or football player.

Fact is, Larry Holmes never had that big rival to set him apart from other great HWs. He came up in Ali's shadow and there was no one to elevate Holmes popularity. You are trying to make it sound as though I am trashing Holmes, which I am not. He would have easily beaten any HW champion fighting today.
Yes you did say it😂😂😂😂😂 You've taken that many L's your now resorting to lying😭😭😭
Read your own words! "Wilder is the Larry Holmes of 2017. A champion without a big name on his resume". By saying that you are saying Muhammad Ali isn't a big name as he is on Larry Holmes' resume. There is no way out of this one. It's Checkmate.
You should've just taken your L and moved on.

Ali is a name, but he wasn't a quality win by the time Holmes got to him. Why do you need that spelled out for you? Like I said, obtuse.

Your clearly the dense one here. Did I once say Ali was a quality win for Holmes? No. The same way Wlad was not a quality win for AJ. What I did say is Muhammad Ali was still a big name and YOU said he wasn't. Let's remember Ali was the A-Side against Holmes. That speaks volumes about how big his name still was. The Ali-Holmes fight was also for the vacant Ring and the LINEAL HW title, Ali-Holmes was a way more significant fight than AJ-WK. So how you can glorify AJ's resume and then dismiss Holmes??? Are you forgetting Holmes also had quality wins over; Norton, Shavers, Witherspoon, Bonecrusher etc. Although I have found humour in your ignorance, I now find your continuous deluded rhetoric tiresome. You are clearly no more than a uneducated ignoramus on this subject matter. Your frankly ridiculous opinion's prove that.
At the end of the day this all began with you saying Muhammad Ali was not a big name on Holmes' resume, you have now admitted Ali was a name therefore you admit: You were wrong and I was right.
        So that means...
        ...You just took another L!!!!!!!!!

              Really?

Joshua earns $20 million per fight and puts 90k asses in seats.

Wilder earns $2 million per fight and is lucky to put 11k asses in seats.

You tell me who the A-side is and who has the leverage and momentum in their favor.

This isnt or hasn't ever been about who is the A side. It was about Wilder being the most relevant international heavyweight for Joshua to fight.
