Prime Shane was a Lightweight and Errol is massive at 147. I don't really think this matchup makes sense. You'd probably have to favour the Shane that moved up to beat ODLH to beat Spence atm. But we haven't seen enough of Spence in top level fights in order to make a fair comparison yet.

Mosley was Prime also at 147 it is nonsense that Shanes Prime is only at 135, he is also massive at welterweight at 5'9 1/2 and Spence is 5'10.

Completely disagree, Shane probably had better wins at 147 and even 154 but he was at his best at 135. One of Shane's main attributes down at lightweight was his raw physicality. I think Holiday was the only guy to ever go the distance with Shane at lightweight he was literally destroying anyone who got in their with him. He didn't have that same physical edge at 147. Also Spence's body frame looks way bigger than Shane's. Mosley always seemed to make 147 pretty comfortably whilst Spence looks like he really has to cut a lot of weight

Shane may have looked phenomenal at 135lb but did not have the level of opposition in my opinion to judge his talents. It wasn't until his first fight with
De La Hoya that he really stepped up and showed us. Perhaps the rise in weight eventually affected his performances but he also had a increase in competition as well. I think he would have done well against Spence but Spence in my opinion is still unproven. Sure he looks spectacular but knockouts can be deceiving. When a puncher destroys a fighter, we think, wow he is really "that good". Time will tell and maybe Spence will come through, but right now it is hard to tell where he is.

That would have been a fun era for Spence to partake in. I'm not sure how well he does as his career is still unfolding, but only a bigger guy like Forrest was able to put it on Shane at the time.

I think Spence will prove to be an exceptional welterweight. Mosley lost twice to Forrest and I think he would lose to Spence. I don't think Spence has peaked yet and he will continue to improve his skills.
