not even close to the sameAs a Brit I will say.. we have far too many BS flurry like stoppages from refs..
Boxing is a dangerous sport.. but boxers know that.. unless the guy is not fighting back or out on his feet unable to defend.. don't stop the ****ing fight.. let them be koed
Same **** in the floyd vs McGregor fight.. are 2 more punches really gonna give the guy brain damage?Comment

Joshua wasnt the one eating bombs all night. Yea, takam could possibly make the distance, but at what cost, im sure the ref was looking for an excuse for a while, because although the guy was taking the punches, he wasnt showing that he could actually win, so why not save him from bigger brain damage.Comment

My initial thoughts were a bullsh#t stoppage by the referee. But in hindsight, Anthony Joshua didn't have a mark on him besides damage from the intentional headbutt. He was getting his second winding and beginning to tee off on Carlos Takam. Takam was also badly busted up and had taken an accumulation of heavy shots throughout. You find that the AJ haters are the most vocal about the "bad stoppage". Unless Takam went out in a bodybag they'd find reasons to criticize the Heavyweight King. The referee showed some compassion and saved Takam from an embarrassing/concussive ending.Comment
