With Ajs appearance (he looks like a “movie” boxer. Stature etc) and kos the only thing holding him back from western recognition is the time difference for fights. If they are gifted a paper belt I can understand making them earn a shot. Wilder is a title holder but has not made himself known, in America or U.S. therefore he can't command a unification.

If he was popular it would be happening ASAP, but as Hearn has a brain, he realise the fight could make make 2 or 3 times more in 1 fight for either guy.
