Since when does a title holder have to earn the right to fight another title holder?

Ok if Wilder is one of the top heavyweights so is Parker, Ortiz, Whyte etc my point (which I keep going back to) is that Wilder has not done anything to show he is ahead of these other guys. Wilder has struggled with some pretty averagw opposition and the only fighter that both Wilder and AJ fought was taken care by AJ far easier. If you look at quality of opposition Wilder has done nothing to warrent any demands to be the next guy to fight AJ. As a boxing fan I genuinly dont see where all the hype for Wilder is coming from which is why I want him to show me something to make me actually believe he is a genuine threat to AJ

You have some valid points but the facts are that Joshua and Wilder are VIEWED as the two best heavyweights in boxing. You may not agree but the overwhelming majority believes it. As I posted, absolutely no one believes Saunders is a better fighter than Charlo, Canelo etc.
