So let me get this straight, for a bunch of you in here, building up the fight is more important than the actual fight?
Wilder is ducking because he's pushing for an AJ fight as soon as possible?
Hearn is the hero because he's creating road blocks to push the fight out as far as he can?
Seems like AJ fans would rather (prefer) he fight Tyson Fury.
You people are not boxing fans.
I like your style kid! I don't understand the logic either! How is Wilder "The Duck," yet he's the one who has been calling for the fight all year? And now he's willing to face Whyte just in order to get to AJ, and he's willing to travel to the UK twice! Now that's what champions do!
Too much money to be made to be stuck in negotiations. It can and should be done if Hearn is serious about the fight AND hard over to have Wilder fight Whyte.
Hearn has said numerous times now what the plan is, he doesn't just want AJ to fight Wilder, he wants it to be the biggest HW fight and make loads of money, that's his job.
Could you imagine if Wilder and AJ didn't happen after what Hearn has said, on camera, just these last 2 days?
No one would ever work with the guy again if he didn't have WIlder fight AJ after Whyte..... that would be insane, no point in a contact.
Well said Champ, let’s see if Eddie Hearn puts his money where his mouth is. I hope Eddie doesn’t comes back with an excuse on why not making this fight happen after this interview. Let’s see his excuse now!!!!

If there is no way that hearn will go back on his word then the contract won't hurt and it facilitates getting both fights.win win.

The contract eliminates excuses on both sides.
You need to negotiate terms then, but that can only happen on what the outcome of the Wilder/Whyte fight is....could you imagine it going 12 rounds and being really close but people thought Whyte won, then Wilder has a contract guaranteeing him a Joshua fight, legally binding.
That is why you can't guarantee these things. Robbery's, injury's and performance can ALL affect your negotiating position and therefore.....as ANY good businessman will tell you.... NEVER sign a contract before you know what you are getting.
