Hearn is just trying to make money on Joshua by delaying a fight with Wilder so he can force Deontay to fight Whyte to get another PPV out of it, which Joshua won't be benefitting from financially.
Joshua needs to stop acting like a House Negro and take charge of his career, he is the BOSS not Hearn and he doesn't need Hearn to promote him. As Richard Schaefer said, his 100 year old mother could promote Joshua and he would still be the massive star in the UK that he is now.
Joshua doesn't need a promoter, never needed a promoter in the UK as winning the 2012 Olympic Gold Medal in London on primetime tv made him into a instant star before Hearn ever came on the scene. If he would have set up his own Promotional company before his debut, he would have been twice as rich then he is now.
Sky television are far more responsible for building Joshua's profile and giving him even more exposure then anything Hearn has done. Also Sky TV would have signed Joshua with or without Hearn.
Joshua needs to wake up and get rid of that leech Hearn and start dictating his own career and choice of opponents.

AJ needs Hearn until he can promote himself. Hearn got AJ the recognition, hype & fans. Can't see any other UK boxer right now that has this level of following..

AJ is now a big enough name to get a Sky contract without Hearn, it really is as simple as that. If say, AJ did not sign an extension the next time it was up, would Sky really tell him "No, no, you have to sign with Hearns?" and risk losing him to BT, Boxnation or one of the American providers? Hell no.
Thing is, AJ feels a certain level of gratitude towards Hearn, his daddy and the whole of MR for their part in his career. That is nice but he has repaid them a thousand times over.
He should cut out the middle man and sign a deal on his own with Sky.

So no loyalty eh?
Why do people always think the grass is greener on the other side?
Eddie Hearn has done one heck of a job with Joshua.
Mike Tyson should have stayed with his original team.
He would have had a way better career.

At most i can see a Mayweather/Golden Boy situation where he is technically self promoted but the majority of the busy work, the undercards and promotion and stuff, is done by Matchroom.
Dont see the point burning bridges with Hearn when he is so influential in the UK scene.
