I think there's been so little negotiations made public that it's ignorant to suggest either of them are ducking the other.

Ok, how can you be ducking someone who has already had two shots at titles, testing positive in one, getting shoved unfairly to the front of the queue for financial reasons and then scraping a controversial draw in the second.

Toney doesn't deserve another tilt. The only reason he might get one is because he is worth some money. In that case it is up to Wlad and his team how much they offer him. he doesn't have to say yes, he can stay in Burger King spouting racist ****e or fight more B-grade fighters for tuppence.

that's an intellegent remark. the fact is that wlad will destroy toney's fat ass, toney hasn't done **** in the hw division. he don't deserve anymore than 1.5 he clearly lost to rahman and got a gift draw decision, and anyone that thinks he can stand in there with wlad is gotta be out of their ****ing mind.

I don't see why someone would say James Toney doesn't deserve $2.5 million. That's not even an outrageous amount to ask. I think $1.5 million is an insult, but just because Wlad's people didn't want to do it I don't think he's "avoiding Toney". I'd also like to say that I can respect people's opinion who think Toney would lose to Wladimir Klitschko, but if you came to that conclusion just based on Wlad's fight with Byrd then you're not too smart. Now way would Toney just sit there and eat punches like Byrd.

No offence meant to Jack or yourself, but Toney doesn't deserve anything. he's had two shots at the title, there are other contenders who deserve their shot now having worked their way fairly up the crooked alphabet rankings.

However, Wlad has a free defence of his belt, and he is looking to make good money. Toney is a good option for him, being low risk high reward. But what offer Wlad makes is completely up to him - if he thinks he's worth 2.5m then refuse, Wlad can come back with another offer or fight someone else. I don't see the insult or the problem here.
