Comments Thread For: Ray Beltran Manager is Fired Up - Tears Apart Terry Flanagan

Currently there are discussions for WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan unifying versus WBA belt-holder Jorge Linares in the first quarter of 2018. Which has left the manager of Ray Beltran - who happens to the number one contender in the WBO - nonplussed. Feder said of Flanagan (33-0, 13 KO's) - "He wins the vacant because (Jose) Zepeda dislocates his shoulder in the second round.

Id rather see Linares unify than have the WBO held hostage within TR. Beltran could fight Felix Verdejo, Tank Davis, or Emmanuel Tagoe (IBO)

Flanagan needs to give up the title and I dont understand why he does not fight him in the states Beltran has HBO backing and he has BT Sport and Box Nation. As fighter this is the best fight for him Linares is a good trade fight but not going to make money. Flannagan is britian worst world champion on the lines of Nathan Cleverley

How is Linares a "trade fight"? It's a world title unification.

Beltran is a high risk for Flanagan.

That's the reason why he is ducking Ray

Linares in a unification, or Beltran in a mando? I would go with Linares! Sorry Ray! A great fight would be Ray Beltran vs. Omar Figueroa Jr. @ 140!

Unifications can override mandatories, I'm fine with either fight though.

That'd be a war. No way Arum and Haymon aren't getting together to make that one though.
