he wasnt underappreciated after he beat donaire. He was getting serious credit. Unfortunately he hasnt fought any world class fighter since, so what exactly would he be getting praise for? Hes got his opportunity at the end of the year to get appreciated and if he beats loma he'll be right near the top of any pound for pound list, including mine.

hasnt beaten anyone in nearly 4 and a half years and yet is still at the top of most rankings. thats not very underrated at all. thats like the ravens winning the super bowl in 2013 and then only playing the brown for 4 straight years and saying they are still the best simply because they kept winning over a sh-it team. 4 years! lot changes!

He's getting a shot at Lomachenko, how could he be?

How is this guy underrated lol. He's rated p4p despite a relatively weak last few years.

He was overhyped a couple years back. Beating Donaire was treated as being paramount to parting the seas. He's done nothing since but has remained in the P4P list, even though that Donaire win becomes less relevant every year.
I think he's super talented and I think he's got a strong chance at beating Loma. But, he gets too much credit for such meager professional accomplishments.

Top fighters ran from him. See frampton, st+, mares, quigg. And I haven't seen a dull fight against anyone, been Rigondeaux fault. I really don't know from where you are getting that, now I remember, uncle bob say so...

whether guys ran from him or not is kinda irrelevant. a guy ducking you is not the same as beating them in the ring...unfortunate for rigo, but that's the way it is.

you didn't think his ud over a completely outclassed opponent on the canelo vs cotto undercard was dull? he had great exposure there and a chance to look spectacular, and he blew it.

when exactly did he get black listed? I always hear the narrative that he was "blacklisted" for beating donaire. he headlined a boxing after dark broadcast after that, which had the worst ratings ever for that platform. that might have something to do with it. the guy just doesn't sell...plain and simple. the purist type boxing fan is an extreme minority, and that makes up most of rigo's base.
