I don’t think he is underrated at all, just because he isn’t well known doesn’t mean he is underrated, he is well respected by the boxing community. He isn’t well known due to a number of things. But he is highly rated and regarded by most.

He's been dropped by Cordoba, Donaire, and Amagasa.

What's his best win after Donaire? Agbeko who was 2-3 in his last 5 coming into the fight?

he is not underrated. i have not read a post underrating the guy's skills.

but he definitely boring. spent too much time in the amateurs. failed to grasp the entertainment aspect of pro-boxing.

Rigo has had a few things against him.

1: His style. It is heavily dependant on what his opponent does. If they do not attack, he will not bring the fight either. That has created some awful fights.

            2: Lack of English.

            3: Caribe

            4: No personality.

There are some people in here who claim to be huge Rigo fans. They are not. They may appreciate his talent, but it is more of the guys who brag him up, just do it to come across as purists.

                  Rigo underrated?

The guy has not been off p4p lists for almost half a decade although he hasn't fought any top fighters for years.

Can Mr. Ruthless explain to me how that means he is underrated?

Has anyone seen his Twitter recently? Either he's finally learned English or he has someone doing it for him but he's been insanely active on it either way. Maybe he's finally realised he has to try to market himself.

Regarding him being under/over rated, anyone who appreciates the art of boxing knows how good he is. He may have been mismanaged and he may have a style that doesn't appeal to casual boxing fans but he's also been avoided by many of the "top" fighters over the years. What Frampton did, for example, was the most blatant ducking I've ever seen.

And now he's going up two weight classes to fight a Top 5 p4p fighter. If he wins this fight, then he'll have two of the best wins in recent history against fighters at the peak of their powers who are among the very best in the world. As big of a Loma fan as I am, I'd love to see Rigo get the job done just so he gets the respect he deserves from the people who write him off as dull and boring.
