I can never understand the mindset of a underdog challenger. Take the short money, beat the champion then start making your demands.

"We got ripped off. It was a lopsided fight and I feel sorry for Andy Ruiz. Something stinks about this fight, something stinks about the whole set-up. There wasn't a bad word said about Joseph Parker. The whole press is on his side, he's been given a dream ride right through."

That guy hates the Parker camp and has bad history with them. He's a complete tool, i wouldn't read too much into 1 persons bitter opinion.

So I was a fan and still am (to a degree). It's just that his recent fights have been really tough for him against opponents that many (including myself) thought he should he should just plow through and look good enough to warrant a matchup with Joshua or Wilder. Not the case, he looked like Ruiz was all he could handle and very one dimensional against Fury. Whyte & Breazeale are better measuring sticks than some guy from Japan or China that nobody's heard of, or most of the WBO list.

Bottom line: He needs to fight and beat a big name contender *AND* look good doing so. Otherwise he can just find a date to hand over his belt to one of the other belt holders.
Please tell me the big names Molina beat to qualify him for his recent fight with AJ? ....

And probably the 2nd or 3rd opponent aj has faced that is there to actually throw punches back.
You might be right. That still doesn't change the fact that literally standing infront of Joshua and participating in a throwing match with a 250pound man with a 100% KO ratio would be downright idiotic and result in Parker being on his back. Higgins can talk about Parker's chin being strong and that Joshua has been on his back but Joshua's power is undeniable whereas Parker's power is questionable at the moment.

Parker has the tools to pose Joshua a problem, but not if his tactic if/when they fight is to stand and throw.

He will be. You cannot compare fights prior to the Klitschko fight to those afterwards as it is the Klitschko fight that made Joshua huge and thus fights like Molina simply would not be accepted now.

Aj resume is pathetic, when has good opposition been a requirement for his fights. Lol... Molina

          Get off the hype train.
At this moment in time ironically a Whyte rematch and a Haye fight would be better for AJ than Parker. Neither of those opponents would be anywhere near as competitive but they would make a lot more money as there would be demand for it from UK casual fans.

PS: Molina was a last minute stand in when Klitschko got injured and Pulev refused to fight due to getting a much better purse.

He has Don King in his corner. He did pick up a IBF regional belt when he KO'd Adamek. That put him in the IBF top 10. Since Don King took over Molina's career he has been in several meaningful heavyweight fights against Davarryl Williamson & Tony Grano for the NABF title. He fought Arreola on Showtime. He got Adamek in Poland & 2 title fights against Wilder & Joshua. He is now getting another big fight on a Showtime undercard against Breazeale. Molina must have a great relationship with King because he keeps getting big fights. Too bad King doesn't get Trevor Bryan those fights...

Parker would be the best non-retired fighter on AJs resume by a mile.

Have we all forgotten aj fought molina in one of the worst heavy weight fights of all time just 12 months ago?

Just watch it and you will see.

He didn't even bother walking to the centre of the ring for the opening bell FFS...

Could not have said it better bro...look im a big fan of Joe as well and expected more going off his early destruction of a few tin cans (but still experienced fighters) but he has had some tricky customers...I believe Joe would actually do well against somebody who comes to fight and fight well...he needs to be backed into a corner and woken to bring back some of that ferocity we true fans know he has!!

Lance Revill is consistently offside with a lot of boxing iden****** and fans alike in NZ...hes entitled to his opinion as he is a former fighter himself among other things but I clearly scored the Ruiz fight for Joe...damn close but Joe won it.

Ruiz was quoted on either here or ESPN boxing site. And no, I'm not going to spend hours on trying to find the link.
