Not taking anything serious from the Parker camp. He'd lose to about 4 or 5 guys at HW right now.

Just grab the check and KO, then move on.

          1. A fighters level of opposition, and

          2. Fighters activity or inactivity.

I can say that all three current HW champions have relatively weak resumés, with Wilder having the worst, added to the two and a half years he has spent as WBC champ.

Joshua has the better record, having fought Dillian Whyte (undefeated and ranked, Charles Martin too) since he picked up the IBF strap in Aril of last year. Added to that he fought a still dangerous Wladimir Klitschko, getting off the canvas to stop him.

Last but not least is Joe Parker. Picking up the vacant WBO belt by beating undefeated Andy Ruiz Jr in December of last year. The strongest positive claim for him is his activity.
He fought five times in 2015, five times again in 2016, and so far twice defended his title this year, even travelling to Fury's backyard where it seemed everything was set up to give Fury every advantage.

Parker is the smallest of the three (6'4" weighing an average 110 kgs) but possesses better than average skills, and a good chin. Added to that his excellent fitness and conditioning. However, it seems that since he has stepped up the level of competition he has been unable to KO anyone.

Joshua is 6'6" weighing an average of 112 kg. He is obviously a rippling muscular machine, with great power, good skills, I wouldn't say he has a weak chin, but he can be put down, though his instinct to recover and win over-rides this perceived ***** in his armour. In the Klitschko fight, he showed just how durable and versatile he can be. His activity is satisfactory but not as good as Parker's.

Wilder is a giant at 6'7", but is a rangier 105 kgs. Has the weakest resume, possesses enormous power, but appears limited in terms of good basic boxing skills, tending to be wild and hot-headed. His chin hasn't really been tested but seems to have heart and good athletic ability.
If he goes the distance again with Stiverne, then fans will surely question his ability to KO higher-ranked opposition, just like Parker.

I really don't think it is as easy as ranking them 1,2,3; but at the moment Joshua appears to be the strongest, with Wilder and Parker jostling for second position.

Of course, if you put them in the ring, then on paper a Wilder v Parker fight would see Parker at a significant disadvantage, giving up 3 inches in height and a staggering 7" in reach.
On paper, the stats would be more even in a Wilder v Joshua fight, with AJ only giving up 1" in both reach and height.
How is Parker's resume better than Wilders?????

            STOP

Bellew is trash, he lost to masternek, schooled by cleverly at 175, KO'd by the pimp...now he won a vacant belt v some african midget and hit the lottery vs a crippled haye he can suddenly have a chance with legitimate Heavyweights?

he couldnt even beat a legitimate cruiser-weight.
            gassiev? loses by KO
            Usyk? loses by KO
            Breidis loses by KO
            Dorticos loses by KO
            glowacki loses by KO

even 11 fight novice michael hunter would beat him, tabiti would also probably beat him.

            please stop with this ridiculousness.

I'm not super impressed with Bellew don't get it twisted, but I'm not super impressed with Parker either. I could see Bellew stealing that fight & I could see Haye sparking him out. I'd probably favor Parker in both fights, but I wouldn't hold any confidence in him.

Parker is making a voluntary defence soon. Looking at the rankings both Miller & Breazeale are busy. They are #4 & 5 respectively. Team Parker did say they were looking at a possible defence against Fujimoto (WBO #8) in Japan which would be a big payday as Fujimoto would be the first Japanese HW to get a title shot. That would be a huge marketing ploy so I can't blame them for considering it. Christian Hammer is the WBO #1 & Tom Schwarz is the WBO #2. Neither of those guys would bring the big payday. I'm not sure how Schwarz is the #2. Zhelei Zhang is also in the WBO top 10. Would he draw a big crowd in China? I wonder if they are considering that fight as well?

When was that? I don't remember him saying anything except it was a close fight he should've won. Funny thing is that even the president of parkers own new Zealand boxing association said it was a robbery.

Qoute:"Joseph Parker didn't win that fight," Revill said. "Get real New Zealand. We haven't got a New Zealand heavyweight champion."
"We got ripped off. It was a lopsided fight and I feel sorry for Andy Ruiz. Something stinks about this fight, something stinks about the whole set-up. There wasn't a bad word said about Joseph Parker. The whole press is on his side, he's been given a dream ride right through."

When I first noticed JP on the scene I was happy to see a Samoan fighter that had a jab. Tua & Thunder didn't.
So I was a fan and still am (to a degree). It's just that his recent fights have been really tough for him against opponents that many (including myself) thought he should he should just plow through and look good enough to warrant a matchup with Joshua or Wilder. Not the case, he looked like Ruiz was all he could handle and very one dimensional against Fury. Whyte & Breazeale are better measuring sticks than some guy from Japan or China that nobody's heard of, or most of the WBO list.

Bottom line: He needs to fight and beat a big name contender *AND* look good doing so. Otherwise he can just find a date to hand over his belt to one of the other belt holders.
