Exactly. I had to put a little Andre Ward joke in there, but in all seriousness, GGG hasnt mentioned ramirez in quite some time (early 2016 or so?) Id much rather see Gilberto fight Badou or something like that

He gets at least three of those done, unifies the belts and breaks the defense record then it will be time for him to move up. Hopefully by the end of next year.
I agree with you on that. It's only two maybe 3 fights that'll be good at 168. I'd rather see him stay at 160.

Groves is good but he can't beat Eubank jr.

Then why is he going after Canelo? Goes by Canelo rules?

ward didnt offer ggg the fight at that time. this is what i talk about when i say low information fans. wards offer was they both have tune ups(ggg-lemieux and ward-someone) and then they fight........so the ward fight would have taken place at the same time the wbc fight against cotto-canelo was scheduled because the wbc had already said they were ordering it. ggg could not possibly commit himself to 2 fights when the wbc fight was supposed to be next(obv canelo stalled it but ggg didnt know he was going to do that) if ward had wanted to fight he would have offered ggg the fight. instead he wanted another tune up although he had just fought paul smith. he needed 2 tune ups to fight ggg? so please next time don't be such a low information fan. please understand what you are takling about and dont make straw man arguments pretending gggg chose to fight lemiex over ward. its disingenous and factually wrong.

Yes it is meaningful to fight Canelo, but why in may? Why does he need to wait Canelo for 7 month again? Time works agains him.
He should say to Canelo: "if you really want rematch you have to fight in January or February"
If Canelo says "no", then ggg can fight Charlo , Lara or Jacobs. These fights are also big enough.
