Tyson would have mopped the floor with Wilder and thats the truth. Gerald Washington had him befuddled for about 5 rounds lol. Tyson had a sick chin too, even a shot Tyson took a beating against Lewis before going down so if you think one punch from Wilder puts him out, think again.Comment

you are wrong on this one. he had skills and power and a granite chin. He was a mental case and drug addict also and had all the wrong people around him at the time of the Douglas fight.Comment

Did Wilder actually say he had a better resume than Tyson? If he did he is wrong. Tyson was champ at 20 years old and from that point on he fought the best fighters around. The best guy Wilder ever fought is Stiverne and Tyson KOed many boxers who were better than Stiverne.Comment

It's hard to say how Wilder would do against the guys Tyson fought because Wilder has not fought quality opposition. He is a monster fighting mediocre fighters. Would he still be a monster fighting better opposition? Maybe and maybe not. He leaves himself open a lot and he doesn't seem to have that good of chin. Hand speed and great punching power are his assets and those are very good assets. Those were also Tyson's assets but Tyson was a much more skilled and precise boxer. Tyson threw text book perfect punches. Wilder throw many wide looping punches that are easy to avoid and counter. Tyson was never wild like that. He was well taught and every move was planned out and done for a reason. Wilder can throw perfect punches and sometimes he does but often he doesn't.Comment

Boxing résumés are all open to interpretation. Every record can be nitpicked and discredited in numerous ways. Fact is, every fight isn't going to be competitive, and every fighter isn't going to get the recognition they deserve, regardless of talent or skill level. When Tyson's accomplishments come into question, it's not just a matter of who he's beaten, but the manner in which he beat them. When you're knocking guys out left and right, it makes your opposition look below average, this is the pros and cons of having that ultimate equalizer.Comment
