Comments Thread For: Hearn: Jacobs Beat Golovkin, He Should Already Be a Superstar!

New York - Making power moves is what Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sports does. As he looks to cross the seas of the Atlantic to the United States and try to map out the same success he's had in the UK boxing markets, he arrived with a **** with the signing of middleweight Daniel Jacobs. Hearn knows that things won't be easy in the US market - but as he announced the fight between Daniel Jacobs (33-2, 29 KO's) and Luis Arias (18-0. 9 KO's) with a co-feature of Jarrell Miller(19-0-1, 17 KO's) and Maruiz Wach (33-2, 17 KO's) - you could sense his eagerness to be successful.

What makes them stars is the media & after they get the media exposer its up to the fighters or any entertainer in any business to take it to another level. Jacobs beat lil g but we get lil g exposer hard from hbo, jim lampley & harold ledderman but lil g cant take it to the next level & he cant even take his boxing skill to the next level.....LOL

I am not a GGG fan. In fact, I think he and his whole team are a bunch of whiners, but enough with the Jacobs beat Golovkin fiction. It was a close fight, but not that close.

Watch it with the sound off and an open mind and you will see the clear winner was GGG. But if there is a rematch, my money is on Jacobs. The way to beat Golovkin is not to give him too much respect, to move yes but fight him and to attack him regularly. I think Jacobs will give him big problems in a rematch.

I think Eddie is confused about how stars are built in the US lol

He's not even going to get to a Winky Wright level of popularity here.

Jacobs fought scared for long stretches then came out his shell with some fine work - but fighting like that ain't enough to rip a belt from the champ. Sorry, Danny but you have to believe in yourself just that bit more. Good effort though. Maybe next time.
