The linenal title is the most worthless title out there

IT HAS ZERO MERIT WHAT SO EVER. The lineal titleholder most of the time dosen't even have a belt. It was created so fans can suck off their favorite fighters who choose not to want to unify the titles.

The lineal title has always been a myth and the credibility of such a title is dubious at best when its vacancy is not filled by a unification.

Historically, winning the WBC & WBA championships, and thus gaining the IBU, NYSAC and NBA lineage, is how you started a new lineage if the previous champion retired or left the division.

Where the lineal title becomes meaningless is when random media members simply declare that a fight is filling the lineage, even though the recognized historical titles are not on the line.

Some say Tyson Fury is the "lineal" champion, but how? Vitali and Wladimir were WBC and WBA champions and refused to fight each other. How can Wladimir and Chagaev crown a "lineal" champion when everybody knew Vitali would beat both of them?

So we're all for keeping track of which WBC, WBA or IBF champion beat the man who beat the man, yet some would say WBO champion Jeff Horn is the lineal champion even though Keith Thurman unified the WBC and WBA titles after WBC/WBA champion Mayweather beat WBO champion Pacquiao.

But random people claim Pacquiao somehow won the lineal title after losing by beating Bradley, which would then give Horn claim as lineal champion? It doesn't make any sense.

If the vacancy isn't filled by unifying the WBC and WBA titles, then it's not really the same lineal title that that was held by all the greats over the last century.

What do you mean? Zsolt Erdei was the best lineal champion ever.

            Even better than Carlos Baldomir!

YES IT IS. Fighters only care about the actual title. Not an imaginary made up title.
