This is professional boxing, not ****en AMATEURS for christ sake.
Amateur boxing currently has 10 weight classes which is better than having 17.
Also, Heavyweight division in the amateurs is basically the Cruiserweight division in the pros.
Super Heavyweight is Heavyweight in the pros.
    Just have different names.

If they do something like this then they better get rid of some of the lower weight classes.
I used to not mind but I'm getting tired of divisions only being 3 pounds apart in the lower weight classes.
Get rid of Minimumweight for example.

You are right. An overreaction from me. I really Hope WBC dont do this. If they do then I Hope the other ABC org dont follow.

But yeah, agree. I would never Watch a WBC fight Again. They Are The worst. We be Crooks

I'm actually not all the way against this..There should be a division for some of these physical freaks can keep to. Hell can you imagine a prime 5' 10" mike tyson fighting 6' 9" tyson fury, damn near a foot in difference.

I have wondered for years if they would do this. Because the heavyweights now are so much taller and heavier. Think about it. 6'7 250 lbs vs 6'0 200 lbs is a different Weight class. That's a 60's and earlier decads heavyweight vs a modern day heavyweight. Even now there is a world of difference in height and weight in a middleweight vs a welterweight and it's not even close to the heavyweight numbers.

The problem with that is the hardcore fans(us) don't care about these belts, but when someone gets their hands on a belt, the media hypes and promotes them as it's the only thing that matters and these are the people we see on tv. Keith Thurman is the perfect example of this. A guy that has 2 belts and is content with making mandatories instead of seeking the big figths that everyone wants to see

If they do it like the MMA world has done it I got no problem with creating a HW + Super HW division, but I know they won't do that thats the problem.

In MMA they got a 205 division & then a 265 HW division & then they got an unlimited HW division over 265 that rarely has fights + is a freak show usually.

If boxing put a limit on HW I'd like that idea cuz I think its rather ****** you can outweigh a guy by 100lbs in the HW division now, but mfers openly cry about a guy being more than 10lbs heavier on fight night in any other division.

But I get the feeling this guy will make a Junior HW division more than he'll great a super HW division so it'd make sense to separate the freak show HUGE guys and make a 260, 265 limit, but I suspect this f#ck desperate for attention tubby bastard will cut the HW division at 225, 230 or somewhere like that to more divide & split the division.

If he killed a lil guy division I wouldn't give any f#cks about this doe lol. Create 3 new big guy divisions to kill 3 lil guy divisions I say. Too many lil guy divisions as is.

I think there should only be 10 to 12 divisions in pro boxing, like in the amateurs, but the thing is they have to be evenly distributed. At the moment we have the worst of both worlds because there are too many divisions and they are not evenly distributed. 17 divisions is a ridiculous amount already, so adding one more to make it fairer for the big guys is hardly the end of the world. The main problem with revamping the system is that it would be a major break in tradition and all of the classic classes would probably be shifted upwards quite a bit, to compensate for the big gaps that currently exist between light heavy, cruiser and the top end of heavy
